POT Software

Two versions of the POT software for MS Windows 3.1 or later are available for demonstration purposes (as zip files): POT version 2.0c (3447kB). Includes Internet mail client and address book support for dBase IV format. Works on top of mail systems that offer simple MAPI, including among others, Microsoft Mail, MailIt, MailMax.400 and ON-Mail. Norwegian version -- recommended for downloading. Instructions: download, unzip, run setup.exe, and follow the instructions. Release notes can be found in the readme.txt file (in Norwegian only); POT version 1.50e (893 kB). Works on top of mail systems that offer simple MAPI, including among others, Microsoft Mail, MailIt, MailMax.400 and ON-Mail. Instructions: download, create a C:\POT directory, unzip files to the C:\POT directory, and run pot.exe. Release notes can be found in the file release.wri (in Norwegian only). Requirements: PC 386 or better with 4 MB RAM or more. We apologize for the lack of demonstration versions of POT for operating systems such as Macintosh, OS/2, and Windows 95. The available files contain demonstration versions of the software. They will not work on a network without obtaining a license. However, the demonstration version will simulate communication sessions. All other functionality is fully operational. Sample maps and address data

A sample address database for POT version 2.0c is available. After downloading the file, import it into the POT address database using the import ("importer") command found under the maps ("kart") menu in the maps ("kart") context. Note that these maps and address data will not work with POT 1.50e. For POT version 1.50e, a sample address database is included in the provided zip file. Note that this address database will not work with POT 2.0c.
