Shirley Taylor and Peter A. Todd, "Understanding Information Technology Usage: A Test of Competing Models", Information Systems Research, June, 1995, Vol 6, No 23, pp 144-176.
INTRODUCTORY EXPLANATION
For each of the first three "components" a number of constructs are listed, each with a number of items (all standardized to a 0-7 Likert scale). These items are in pairs (with matching subscripts) of varying types:
Belief (b) / Evaluation (e)
Normative belief (nb) / Motivation to comply (mc)
Control belief (cb) / Perceived facilitation (pf)
To compute a score for a construct (within a component), the scores on these "pairs" are multiplied (e.g. b*e) and then summed over pairs. Following the "components" are four simple, multiple item constructs that were also measured in this study. "CRC" is the Computing Resource Center that was being studied.
